GALWAY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER – SUNSHINE, LAUGHTER & GUINNESS AT THIS IRISH DESTINATION WEDDING

When Marie and Mark first got in touch to say they wanted me to be their Galway Wedding Photographer, I was so excited – they were planning the most fun and relaxed wedding with a church ceremony, a live band, and it promised to be quite a party. Marie and Mark are the loveliest people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!

Getting ready

I began in the morning at the Clayton Hotel, where the bride and her friends were getting ready, and it was so much fun because everyone was in a good mood. Marie wore a stunning wedding dress and Mark wore a grey suit and they looked so amazing. My second photographer and I ran between the girls and the boys getting ready at the hotel and were already worn out before we got to the ceremony. It was great fun and super relaxed with both of them. We got some awesome photos that really captured the mood of the day to come.

The ceremony

The wedding ceremony took place at a beautiful little church, and Marie arrived in style in a fabulous vintage car. After the ceremony, we did confetti outside the church, and then some stunning portraits in the beautiful Galway countryside. Everyone then set off for the reception to get drunk and party.

The wedding reception took place at the Clayton Hotel, which was full of personal touches. It was gorgeous. The staff were awesome and looked after everyone.

It was a beautifully sunny day, which was lovely. While the guests enjoyed canapes and cocktails, the couple mingled and laughed with their friends.

My awesome second Becky Harley even managed to capture one of me with a pint of Guinness in my hand stumbling through the dancefloor. Cheers, Becky.

Massive thanks to Becky Harley who had to put up with me for the weekend in Ireland, Galway. Marie, Mark and all of their friends and family that made us feel so welcome and part of their Irish family.
