When Katrina and Tim first got in touch with me about their Old Luxters Barn wedding in Henley-on-Thames, I was so excited – they were planning the most beautiful barn wedding with a live bans. Katrina and Tim are the loveliest people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!

The excitement before the wedding

I began the morning at Old Luxters Barn, where the girls were getting ready together, and it was so much fun, because everyone was in a good mood. Katrina wore the most stunningly beautiful wedding dress and Tim wore a suit with some very stylish Spitfire cufflinks (made from a real spitfire) and they looked so perfect.

The ceremony

The wedding took place inside the beautiful Old Luxters Barn, and was a beautiful intimate ceremony. They had some beautiful readings, which brought pretty much everyone to tears. Including me. After the ceremony they were showered with confetti, then the celebrations began. Not before I had to be fished out of a flower pot by Kat & Tim. In my haste to capture the confetti being thrown I had not realised I was actually running out of road as I walked backwards. Luckily a flowerpot was there to save the day for me as I fell on arse.

The party

The wedding reception took place in the courtyard at Old Luxters Barn, which is just a stunning Barn venue with its own Vineyard.

It was a beautifully sunny day, which was glorious. While the guests enjoyed canapés and cocktails, we wandered around the farm doing fun and creative portraits. After the wedding breakfast there were a some awesome and very funny speeches, with Tim getting a very embarrassing passage real out from a mention he received from England Rugby Legend Johnny Wilkinson in his book.

Kat & Tim cut the wedding cake and the party got started with the first dance that included Tim literally sweeping Kat of her feet. I lobe the dance floor at weddings especially when the guest get stuck in and let it all go with some awesome dancing.
